PATRICK FRIAS
In 1996, at 23 Patrick led the Marian Choir to a World Concert Tour and Pilgrimage. Since then, he has conducted different choirs performing in the Philippines and abroad. He was the youngest artistic committee member of the 1st Choir Olympics (now World Choir Games) in 2000 in Linz, Austria.
As Lay Coordinator of Musicaviteno – Diocesan Ministry on Liturgical Music Inc. from 2005-2009, he helped organized the 1st Choral and Liturgical Workshop in 2005. Followed by 2 more workshops in 2006 and 2008. Under his leadership, he organized the 1st Diocesan Choir Festival in 2005 and helped established the Our Lady of the Pillar Cathedral Choir – the official Choir of the Diocese of Imus.
As Tour Manager and Coordinator, he organized the 1996, 2002, 2007 International tours of the Marian Choir, 2000 World Concert Tour of the San Beda College Choir, 2003 North American Tour of the Mapua Institute of Technology Concert Singers and helped in the 2004 European Tour of the Voice of Manila while also serving as conductor/pianist of the groups.
As pianist, organist and conductor, he has performed in different cities in Europe, Canada, United States of America, Mexico and Asia.

MALOU HERMO
Ma. Lourdes V. Hermo holds Bachelor and Master of Music degrees in Choral Conducting from the University of the Philippines, Diliman, Quezon City. At the College of Music, she was a member of the the world-renowned Philippine Madrigal Singers and the Philippine Youth Orchestra. She was likewise, one of the training conductors of the Young Artists Chamber Orchestra.
Ms. Hermo is regularly invited as lecturer/facilitator in music and choral conducting workshops and invariably, acts as ‘clinician’ of competition-bound choirs. Moreover, she has been consistently engaged as adjudicator in various choral competitions including among others the Voices in Harmony and the National Music Competitions for Young Artists (NAMCYA). She sits as Chairman of the 2010 NAMCYA Children’s Choir Competitions. She is currently, the Vice-President of the Philippine Choral Directors Association and a member of the International Federation of Choral Music. Together with Mr. Jonathan Velasco, President of PCDA, they represented the Philippines in the First Asia-Pacific Choral Summit in Wuxi, China in July 2009.
At present, Ms. Hermo is a professor of Music at St. Scholastica’s College in Manila and has assumed the position of Music Director of the School of Music’s Chamber Choir as well as, the College Faculty Chorale. Since 2002, she has been the Choirmaster of the internationally acclaimed Ateneo College Glee Club which had capped its European tour in September 2006 with a string of first prizes and special awards at the Miltenberg International Competition in Germany and Arezzo, Italy. This was followed by a successful tour of Guam in April 2009. In addition, she is the Music Director of Virlanie Foundation Chorale, a non-profit organization founded by Mr. Dominique Lemay that is primarily aimed at providing a humane shelter and holistic environment for street children.

EMERSON HERNANDEZ
Emerson Hernandez is a graduate from the University of Santo Tomas Conservatory of Music Major in Choral Conducting under the tutelage of Prof. Ricardo Mazo Jr. He studied piano as his minor instrument under Prof. Najib Ismail and Voice under Prof. Jun Francis Jaranilla. During his stint as a student, he performed in “Sampung Mga Daliri”, an annual concert of the UST Conservatory of Music as a baritone.
As a conductor he handled the Philippine Tourism Authority Chorale and the UST Nursing Chorale. He also did musical directing jobs for several school performances of “Once on this Island”. He was a former member of the Sta. Teresita Parish Chorale and a part of the batch which bagged the Grand Champion Award in the 2007 A Voyage of Songs International Choral Competition held in Pattaya, Thailand.
At present, he is under the Master of Music program in St. Paul University Major in Choral Conducting. Mr. Hernandez attributes his knowledge in the choral field, aside from Prof. Mazo, through continuous trainings, workshops and masterclasses given by world-renowned choral conductors and clinicians such as Prof. Fidel Calalang Jr., Prof. Jonathan Velasco, and Prof. Eudenice Palaruan. He was also attended conducting sessions of several foreign conductors such as Maestro Jae Joon Lee, Prof. Martin Berhmann and Dr. Brady Allred, conductor of the University of Utah Singers.
Last July, he attended the choral workshop and masterclass sessions of the 1st ITB International Choir Competition held in Bandung, Indonesia where he trained under prominent choral clinicians such as Carl Crossin, Dr. David Hughes, Dr. Pearl Shangkuan and Dr. Brady Allred.
Mr. Hernandez is a vocal coach, compoer and an educator. He is a member of the Philippine Choral Directors Association (PCDA) and the Choirmaster/Artistic Director of the Far Eastern University Chorale.

OSCAR PANTALEON JR.
Oscar Pantaleon Jr. obtained his degree in metallurgical engineering from the University of the Philippines. In 1987, he joined the UP Madrigal Singers under the leadership of Prof. Andrea O. Veneracion, National Artist for Music, and went on national and international concert tours with the group until 1996. He also studied choral conducting with Dean Reynaldo T. Paguio & Prof. Jai Sabas-Aracama and voice with Prof. Ma. Cecilia Ongsiako-Valena at the UP. Since then, he has been actively involved in the national choral circle as conductor, music director, trainer, adjudicator and consultant. Last year, he traveled to the regional centers as juror of the National Music Competitions for Young Artists. He was also appointed in 2009 to a two-year term as the first secretary general of the Philippine Choral Directors Association.
As an arts management practitioner, Oscar Pantaleon has produced various concerts and recordings. In the 90s, he established his own production outfit, ConcertNet Philippines Co., managed the pop trio, III of A Kind, and taught arts management at the De La Salle University - College of St. Benilde. In 2001, the award-winning composer Ryan Cayabyab handpicked him to handle the business services of The San Miguel Foundation for the Performing Arts that managed The San Miguel Philharmonic Orchestra and The San Miguel Master Chorale. He has served as juror in various editions of the Awit Awards and he occasionally freelances as an arts project manager for Mr. Cayabyab.
As the Philippine Ambassador of the Contemporary A Cappella Society, he has sat as juror in various local and international competitions notably the Asian Competitions for Contemporary A Cappella in Taiwan, the National A Cappella Championships in Singapore, and the annual Contemporary A Cappella Recording Awards in San Francisco. He has also conductred various artistic and management workshops for the Singapore A Cappella Society.
Oscar Pantaleon is a member of The Chamber Choir of Asia. He is the founding music director and conductor of the Pfizer Chorale, the Our Lady of the Pillar Cathedral Choir and The Tala Choir. He also directs and conducts the Caltex Chorale.
